      Dr. Mohamed Barara

​

​Mohamed Barara holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Mohammadia School of Engineering in Rabat, Morocco, and a master's degree in automated systems from the University of Science in Fez. He participated in the PhD mobility program at the University of Pitesti in Romania and served as a visiting research assistant at Khalifa University's Power Electronics Research Lab in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Following this, he pursued a postdoctoral position at the University of Lyon's Ampere Lab in France. His professional journey also includes roles at UFR Sciences et Technologies, Université d'Évry-Vald'Essonne, Paris Saclay, and the Université de Caen in Normandie, France. Notably, he served as the responsible figure for renewable energy and Smart grids at the School of Engineering, ESME SUDRIA, Paris, and as an Associate Researcher at the University of Picardie Jules Verne, Laboratory LTI. With a focus on Smart grids, Mohamed Barara's research extends to renewable energy systems and micro-grids, reflected in his numerous publications and his organization of sessions on renewable energy and smart grids at international conferences. Presently, he is the founder of pourclimat, an initiative aimed at interventions in higher education and research and development.
